How to Prepare for the End of the World - 7 Steps you Can Take now!
Thinking men and women of all classes, have their attention focused upon the events taking place around us and they realize that something great and decisive is about to happen--it appears that the world is on the verge of a great crisis.
But few people really understand that we are at the end of the world as we know it, and even fewer know what to do to prepare for the end of the world. Here are seven steps you can take to prepare yourself and your families for the end of the world. You need to Be Ready Physically, Mentally, and Spiritually.
End of the World World Preparation #1 - Pray!"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all [men] liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." James 1:5
Pray for Wisdom, Strength, and Endurance. Please Note: you don't always need to pray on your knees, you can ask God for help in your mind while you go about your day. Tell Him of your sorrows, trials, and concerns for "He careth for you". ( more coming soon) Ask Him to help you be ready for what is coming upon the earth. Here is an ecouraging excerpt from a older Christian book:
"Keep your wants, your joys, your sorrows, your cares, and your fears, before God. You cannot burden Him; you cannot weary Him. He who numbers the hairs of your head is not indifferent to the wants of His children. . . . Take to Him everything that perplexes the mind. Nothing is too great for Him to bear, for He holds up worlds, He rules over all the affairs of the universe. Nothing that in any way concerns our peace is too small for Him to notice. There is no chapter in our experience too dark for Him to read; there is no perplexity too difficult for Him to unravel. No calamity can befall the least of His children, no anxiety harass the soul, no joy cheer, no sincere prayer escape the lips, of which our heavenly Father is unobservant, or in which He takes no immediate interest. "He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3). The relations between God and each soul are as distinct and full as though there were not another soul upon earth to share His watchcare, not another soul for whom He gave His beloved Son.
The Lord's care is over all His creatures. He loves them all, and makes no difference, except that He has the most tender pity for those who are called to bear life's heaviest burdens."
End of the World Preparation #2 - Take Action Spiritually"Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. " Matthew 24:44
The second coming of Jesus Christ and the end of the world is going to come as a snare upon most of the world. (see Luke 21:34-35) Don't let the cares of this life be so consuming that you have no time for spiritual things.

Remember and claim the promise: "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." (See Matthew 6:31-34)
End of the World Preparation #3 - Search Your Heart"Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if [there be any] wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." Psalm 139:23-24
God not only wants us to obey Him, but he wants our hearts. He wants us to obey Him because we love Him. (See John 14:15) Many times we can deceive ourselves as to our true condition before God. We should ask Him to help us in this matter. Below is a warning from the apostle Peter.
"But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. [Seeing] then [that] all these things shall be dissolved, what manner [of persons] ought ye to be in [all] holy conversation and godliness, ...Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. And account [that] the longsuffering of our Lord [is] salvation;" See 2 Peter 3:10-15
End of the World Preparation #4 - Work to Save Others"The fruit of the righteous [is] a tree of life; and he that winneth souls [is] wise." Proverbs 11:30
In Matthew 25 Jesus tells about what it will be like for Christians near the end of the world. Some of the virgins, a symbol for His followers, were "Wise" others were not wise and didn't have enough oil in their vessels to endure the delay and be able to see in the long period darkness. (See Matthew 25)
In the Bible the oil is a symbol for the Holy Spirit and a vessel is a symbol for a person. Thus, a vessel filled with oil is a person who is filled with the Holy Spirit whom God can use to pour out blessings on to others. (See Acts 9:11-15)

End of the World Preparation #5 - Guard Your Soul"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, [even] as by the Spirit of the Lord." 2 Corinthians 3:18
The Bible teaches that by beholding we become changed. We want to behold things that will help us heavenward not hinder us. Here is a warning and a promise from the Bible especially applicable for those who are alive at the end of the world.
"The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?
He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;
He shall dwell on high: his place of defence [shall be] the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters [shall be] sure." Isaiah 33:14-16
Here are some ideas about of good things to listen and look at:
* Go for a walk in nature or in a park, and behold the wonders of creation.
* Visit some Christian friends who live in the country
* Listen to a good sermon such as this on the Second Coming of Christ

End of the World Preparation #6 - Move out of the Cities
"Woe unto them that join house to house, [that] lay field to field, till [there be] no place, that they may be placed alone in the midst of the earth!" Isaiah 5:8
God never intended for people to live closely together, crowded into apartments or suburbs where there is no room to be alone with Him. More and more as the end approaches we can see that is unsafe to live where people are crowded closely together. It is not good for anyone mentally, physically, or spiritually to live in the cities or suburbs.
Additionally, people should move away from places near rivers and seas due to the fact that Jesus prophesied that great loss of life will be coming from the oceans and floods near the end of the world. (See Luke 21:25-27)
This is probably a very big task for some but God will help you. You can start out taking little steps.
1. Selling needless things. (Use the money to pay off debt, save for needed things in the country, and don't forget to also support God's cause.)
2. Get things organized / packed so you can leave quickly when God opens the doors through His providential workings.
End of the World Preparation #7 - Grow Your Own Food"And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name." Revelation 13:16-17
There is a time coming that will be a great trial upon all who would be faithful to God. People around the world who want to Worship God as the Bible teaches will be cut off economically. It would be wise to prepare to be able to feed ourselves. (See Proverbs 12:11 and Proverbs 28:19)
